Nothing new here. I’ve written about the deep water soloing that I do in Antalya at least twice before.
This time, it’s Olaf. The other difference is that I took these photos, probably the best falez photos that I’ve taken though they’re still not very good. The real reason I’m posting this stuff is I needed some filler material before (hopefully) Ferda and I head off to somewhere more interesting than Antalya.
This was the first day that Olaf made it through this difficult section of the traverse without falling. He seemed to do it quite easily.
Then Olaf rounded the corner to this fairly easy section,
only to fall into the water less than a minute later!
On the rock again, traversing in the opposite direction back to the start.
For years I’ve wanted to get a good photo of the salt drippings that look like icicles.
Crappy photo, I know. Maybe I need a better action camera?
Oh, as I was poking around looking at old falez photos, I found these that Kemal abi took two years ago.
So much fun at the falez!
Just in case the “next fun thing” you and Ferda are going to do includes SE Asia, Cathy and I will be cycling Laos and Thailand in Jan/Feb
Curt,
Hahaha, yes, the “next fun thing” is SE Asia! We’re almost at the end of our 60 day visa for Indonesia and almost done with SE Asia for this time. Sorry to miss you. We were out of internet land for six weeks. Maybe now I can blog a bit about Indonesia. 🙂 I hope you’re having an excellent bicycle tour.
